Altrusa is an international non-profit organization making our local communities better through leadership, partnership, and service.
Our club offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the greater Gainesville, Florida area. We undertake a variety of service, literacy, fundraising and international projects each year.
We are seeking new volunteers to join our organization and make a difference. Our members are from varying occupations and lifestyles, all sharing an interest in community service and enjoying the friendship, fun and satisfaction that comes from working together for the benefit of others.

Meeting Information
Second and fourth Thursday of each month at noon. Meetings are held the second Thursday only in June, July, November and December.

Altrusa House
Altrusa House of Gainesville, is our club signature project. In 2023, we celebrated 25 years of service to our community. 35 years ago there was a vision to build a place where adults with mental or physical disabilities could stay during the day. Altrusa House of Gainesville, partnered with Easter Seals Florida, is a place where people with health problems can come to make new friends and remain active. Families who are committed to keeping their loved ones at home can look to Altrusa House as an alternative to nursing home care. Altrusa House of Gainesville offers a place where family member’s health conditions can be monitored and cared for during the workday. Altrusa House promotes an active lifestyle for those with limitations and is a support system for anyone in need of care.

The International dinner will be held on Friday, October 2 at the Woman's Club. Tickets will go on sale in August.
Music Trivia Bingo
Rock and Roll is here to stay. The Th 4th Annual Music Trivia Bingo was a huge success. Proceeds from the event were distributed to Ukraine Relief, Altrusa House and ,other local agencies.
