The Altrusa District Three Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit, philanthropic organization established in 1991 by District Three of Altrusa International. We assist local Altrusa Clubs with their service projects and fund raising efforts. We are the guardians of many District Three Clubs Fiscal Partnership accounts, thus providing them tax exempt status for donations that flow thru the Foundation. We are also pleased to aid our Past Governor Linda Robison, who has established the Joey Robison Scholarship Fund for Non-Traditional Students, in memory of her son. All District Clubs may apply to this Scholarship Fund each year.
In 2007, the Foundation offered its first Grants for District Three Clubs to help support their service projects in their local communities. These Grants continue each year with the maximum Grant being $500 for each approved application.
In addition to our Grants, we fund 6 Awards at each District Three Conference. Clubs can apply for 1.) Lucile Spillers Alexander ASTRA Service Award, 2.) Cassie S. Dollar Rehabilitative Service Award, 3.) Literacy Service Award, 4.) Richard Ward Ulrich Environmental Service Award, 5.) Vocational Service Award, and 6.) Myrtice Price Membership Award.
